What is an affiliate disclosure?

It is simpler to define each part to that question.
According to my search term, disclosure, this is the reference that I found.

Dictionary.com Unabridged,   Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2018

Disclosure is defined as the act or an instance of disclosing; exposure; revelation (revealing) or an announcement.

What is the announcement?

I am an affiliate of Amazon. An affiliate according to Dictionary.com Unabridged is to bring into close association or connection.

So according to Dictionary.com, I have a “close association” with Amazon which I am disclosing or revealing my specific role to my visitors from my Website.

Note:

In this example, I have an image of a disclosure sign on the left side of my sidebar. When a visitor clicks on the disclosure image, it will take you to my statement concerning my Amazon Affiliate disclosure.

When you see the link to some product, it takes you to Amazon. You, the visitor, can then make the purchase from Amazon.

Where are the purchases of the products from my Website, findmejeans.com made?

You, the visitor or the traffic, to my Website make the purchases from an external affiliate Website which is Amazon.com and this is accomplished when the visitor clicks on a link. Clicking on a link from my Website to purchase a product, the visitor pays for it directly through the seller, in my case, Amazon.

Then Amazon pays a commission to me for promoting their product or products to their Website

I hope I made the vocabulary clear for you to understand what an affiliate disclosure means.

Tell me more about Amazon.

I did my research from Google and you may do the same thing I did.
I have been buying items from Amazon for a short while. I really like how Amazon is set up for me as a customer.

It should be noted here that–Prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase is through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link.  Or directly to Amazon.  You will not pay more by clicking through to the link.

WHAT DO YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER THINK OF AMAZON?

I am so glad I decided to have Amazon to order products.  They really are the most inexpensive place to order online for something.

They are always polite when we got the wrong order.  (not their fault)  I like the part of their website where you can track your package.  They are able to tell you when; that is, what day.  Most of the time, they leave the package in the mailbox, but if it is too big, it is left in the office.

Now, we one tracks the package, they know what happened to the package.

It normally does not take very long for your package to arrive—many times at the door if they know you will be home.  All and all, they are a great company and I am honored to be an Associate of Amazon!!
